Islamic Society Raises Money for Charity

In November, the Islamic Society students at Sir George Monoux College raised £551.37 for Branches – a charity for the homeless based in Walthamstow. The Islamic Society organised a cake sale and were helped by volunteers from across the College to raise the money.

The students came together to raise awareness of how homelessness affects the society. As Muslims, we believe it is our responsibility to give charity and this cake sale provided the ideal opportunity for us to give back to our local community.
