This course has been designed to be taken alongside other A-Level qualifications. It encourages students to become responsible borrowers and sensible savers, and to appreciate the need for financial planning throughout their life. It will prepare you for further study by developing the core skills of critical analysis and evaluation, verbal communication through classroom discussion and written communication.

You will develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the financial services sector and enhance skills that are valued within and outside of the financial service sector. Distinctive modules include: - Financial Capability for the Immediate and Short Term - Financial Capability for the Medium and Long Term - Sustainability of an Individual's Finances - Sustainability of the Financial Services System

You can progress onto degree level study in financial services or related subject. Examples of future careers include insurance, banking, office administration, or in the voluntary sector such as with Citizens Advice.
