See how real life cases have developed and shaped the law that we have today and apply your knowledge of the civil and criminal law to current affairs. You will gain an insight into how the different types of laws are created in this country and how this differs from European Union legislation.
You will study criminal law and the difference between murder and manslaughter, non-fatal offences and criminal damage. You will also assess how the Judiciary uses its powers to decide the severity of a sentence. The course includes mock trials, visits to Parliament and Courts and guest speakers.
How is this course assessed?
A Level Law is assessed through exams at the end of the second year.
