The study of Law at A-level enables students to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills. Students will construct persuasive legal arguments to offer answers to problems and evaluate the strength of those arguments. Success in the subject will require students to take an interest in current legal affairs, to read widely and write in a clear and concise manner. A good memory is essential because there are a lot of cases and statutes to remember.

Studying Law develops student's problem solving skills through the application of legal rules together with an understanding of legal method and reasoning. On this course you will take part in mock trials, visit Parliament, visit Crown Court and meet guest speakers such as legal professionals. Distinctive modules include: -The English legal system - Law making: criminal law, tort law and contract law - The nature of law

You can progress to degree level study in Law or a related subject. A Level Law can assist you in becoming a solicitor, barrister or legal executive. Alternatively popular career routes also include employment or apprenticeships in business and accounting, teaching, social work and community work.
