All about our Music - Level 3 course:

A taste...

This course aims to extend and develop your performance and musical skills and prepare you for a career in Music. You do not need to have Music GCSE, or be able to read musical notation to join this course. However, you do need to be passionate about music, be willing to learn, sing and perform, and develop your work to a professional level.

The details

You will research and perform pieces from different artists and genres, developing and refining your musical skills as a soloist and within an ensemble. You will also participate in a number of musical workshops and also have the opportunity to perform in concerts internally and externally. Distinctive modules include: - Skills development in music - Professional practice - Community arts - Working as a session musician

This course is assessed through internal assessment of class work, practical coursework and productions.

You can progress onto a music course at degree level. Careers from studying Music include becoming a; musician, session musician, music teacher, music manager, producer, music journalist, event organiser.

This course is equivalent to 1 A-Level. Music combines well with Dance, Acting or other A Levels.
