Success Stories & Quotes
L3 Btec Travel & Tourism
"While I was at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Mayfair Hotel I was shadowing the Reception Team. They were extremely accommodating as they knew that my career goal was to own my own hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and got very involved in the tasks and with the team. They were all extremely impressed with the way I presented myself that they offered me a job at the hotel! I am currently working as a part of the reception team and will continue my employment on a part time basis in September."
L3 Btec Business
"My work experience at NatWest has given me a broader perspective about the working environment and expectations of the business. I have learnt how money is handled as well as the security measures to ensure the money is safe and secure. I would speak to employees from all levels of hierarchy within the bank asking for advice which may help me within my educational life. Work experience has allowed me to gain knowledge of the career which I hope to work in. It’s given me a boost in confidence knowing what I need to be prepared for."
Employer quote: Michael Ttofi
Customer Service Manager – NatWest Bank
"Melek has been a delight and a much more positive experience than we usually get with Work Experience placements. Possibly as she a little older and more mature than the Year 10s we normally deal with. Even when there has been little to do she has continued showing a positive attitude and by the end of the week was able to approach customers unprompted to try and assist them in any way she could. She has been a credit to both herself, her family and your college."
Jessica da Silva Pacheco
Jessica undertook work experience with Little Kickers, as a coach working with young children and toddlers in which she shadowed coaches. We are pleased to say that Jessica has now been employed. She had previously not considered working in coaching, and was not employed so this was an excellent insight into the coaching sector, as well as teaching and working with children, providing part time work at the end of the placement.

Aleksandra commenced work experience in October 2017. Previously to her work experience, Aleksandra had no real insight to the real world of work and had never had an interview. She did not know where to begin, or how to look for work experience. Aleksandra had a 1-2-1 session covering aspects of employability skills – Interview skills, Work ethics and sourcing work experience. After a number of calls we arranged an interview with a private nursery located near her home. After 2 weeks of settling into her work placement Aleksandra was offered a part time job due to her professionalism, conduct, work ethics and overall performance.
