If you have been identified as a high academic achiever you can apply to join our Gifted and Talented Academy, a collective of fifty highly academic minds. The aim is to share skills, develop leadership and strengthen thinking.
Academy students benefit from a dedicated study space, an account for purchasing books, a personal laptop to assist with research and opportunities for additional talks, overseas trips and online courses. Academy students also widen their study programme through an additional A Level, Further Maths or an extended project.
Bespoke support is provided to prepare students to apply to Oxford, Cambridge and other Russell Group Universities. This includes trips, Summer Schools, residential stays and talks from highly acclaimed academics.
High Flyer students will be encouraged to attend educational trips to both Oxford and Cambridge, where they will take part in summer schools, lectures and residential visits in their preferred subject choice.
Students will also get to meet highly acclaimed academics and current undergraduates and find out more about the admissions process. In addition, they will be part of academic masterclasses and will receive additional support for the Oxford and Cambridge admissions tests.
We currently have partner links with St Peter's College (University of Oxford) and Gonville & Caius College (University Of Cambridge).
