Course Details
This course is characterised by experimental and integrated learning. The focus of the course is on creative problem solving supported by research and analysis so that students can define, understand and contribute to the area in which they wish to work in

How is this course assessed?
This course is 100% coursework with an examined element in the first year.

GCSE Maths or GCSE English.

What is the Qualification?
Qualification UALab Level 3 Applied General Ext. Diploma
Level 3 (equivalent to three A Levels)

What are the entry requirements?
Entry Requirements 4 GCSE grades 9 – 4 including English or Maths at grade 4 or above. In
addition students will need Art GCSE at 5 or a portfolio.

What are the modules and units?
– Part one is designed to enable students to try new things to identify what they like doing
– Part two involves working more independently in order for students to put their new skills into practice, working in the area they eventually wish to be employed in
Each year ends with an exhibition of the students’ work

Future careers could include: Graphic Designer, Web Designer, Art Director, Marketing Assistant, Branding Designer, Illustrator, Photographer, Photo Editor, Animator, Architect, Interior Designer and many more.
