At Monoux we organise our 100 courses into six distinctive pathways.
The pathways correspond to key industries and are tailor made to enrich your college
experience by strengthening your understanding of your chosen career path.
You can choose to combine subjects from different pathways and your choice of pathway depends entirely on your future ambition.
GIFTED & TALENTED ACADEMY
The Monoux Gifted and Talented Academy is a group of highly academic and ambitious students. If you are a high academic achiever, we encourage you to apply to join the Academy. The Academy aims to give high-achieving students the opportunity to:

We encourage Academy students to deepen their study programme by taking an extra A Level, Further Maths or an extended project.
TALENT LAB
Talent Lab is our way to provide a structure to help you: work hard, receive support, build skills, and enjoy the Monoux experience.
You will have either one or two Talent Lab sessions on your weekly timetable. All Talent Lab sessions are listed on the Monoux App. So you can decide what to take part in ahead of time. You build up credits and convert them to great prizes over the course of the year.

STUDENT AMBASSADORS & STUDENT LEADERSHIP
Student Ambassadors represent the Monoux at public events, such as: Open Days, School visits, VIP events Students who become Ambassadors gain many transferable skills such as: organisation, leadership, collaboration and communication
Anyone can become an Ambassador. You must show dedication and commitment to our events. Student Leaders contribute to important decisions made by the college. They represent the student voice and peer mentor other students.
Student Leaders develop key leadership skills through starting student-led groups and societies. These include:
ACCELERATED LEARNING ACADEMY
If you are between 16 – 18 and have recently arrived in the UK from another country. You may be eligible to join our Accelerated Learning Academy. Newly arrived young people may not have a full set of GCSE qualifications so we carry out a series of diagnostic tests to put you on the correct course.
Be prepared to be in for a full day, or even two days, to confirm whether we can offer you a place and your level of study. Please note that whilst we provide English support, we do not offer ESOL classes so young people must already be fluent, or almost fluent, in spoken and written English.
Students in the Accelerated Learning Academy receive:
- A set of diagnostic tests to decide course suitability
- Possibility to enrol throughout the year and not wait until September to start
- Accelerated study programme. Including English and Maths GCSE alongside A Levels or Vocational courses
- Regular meetings and workshops to help understand the different demands of UK qualifications And improve spoken and written English skill
CAREERS & WORK EXPERIENCE
All students have access to our dedicated Careers & Employability team who help students make informed career decisions.

HIGHER EDUCATION SUPPORT
Over 600 of our students progress to university every year, including Russell Group universities. Our Higher Education support team is there to guide you through the process of applying to university offering.

PARENTS
Monoux is proud of the relationships it has built with parents and carers. We have a fantastic team of staff who work together to keep you informed and up to date.
Parent Portal allows parents and careers to keep you up to date with their young person’s progress, offering access to information regarding course targets, grades and attendance. We also hold regular Parents’ Evenings, where you can meet with teachers to discuss your child.
