Course Details
The study of Law at A Level enables students to develop their analytical and critical thinking skills. Students will construct persuasive legal arguments to offer answers to problems and evaluate the strength of those arguments Success in the subject will require students to take an interest in current legal affairs, to read widely and write in a clear and concise manner. A good memory is essential because there are a lot of cases and statutes to remember. Studying Law develops students’ problem solving skills through the application of legal rules, together with an understanding of legal method and reasoning. On this course you will take part in mock trials, visit Parliament, visit Crown Court and meet guest speakers such as legal professionals.

This course will be assessed through external examinations.

Qualification – A Level Law

What are the entry requirements?
5 GCSEs at 5 and above. Higher entry requirements are required for those wishing to study 4 A Levels.

You will also need to have English at 5, and one additional essay-based subject at 5.

– The Nature of Law
