Course Details
During the course you will train in all three disciplines; Acting, Music and Dance. In Acting you will learn naturalistic and non-naturalistic techniques including Stanslavski, Brecht and Meisner. In Dance you will focus on the styles of Contemporary and Jazz and in Music you will focus on learning a variety of genres to turn you into a versatile employable musician! You will focus on refining your technical skills in these areas and then develop professional and disciplined performance skills. There will be many internal and external opportunities to perform in shows and gigs throughout the two-year course. The course will provide you will the opportunities to learn about practitioners (composers, directors, choreographers, artists, playwrights etc) and analyse the context surrounding their work.

It will also give your insight into the industry as a whole, the Performing Arts industry and the numerous roles that support performers such as technicians, community artists, Arts administrators and session musicians.

How is this course assessed?
Some work will be assessed during lessons via filmed workshops and rehearsals. Practical work will be filmed in performance and assessed both internally and externally. Written work will be assessed both externally and internally.

Which other courses does this combine well with?
This course is studied on its own and cannot be combined with other courses.

What is the Qualification?
Qualification – Cambridge Technical Ext. Diploma
Level 3 – (equivalent to three A Levels)

Audition is required.
